Like any decent band from the 90’s, the Cowabunga team honed their equipment and skills in garages over the last ten years. They’ve been known to attach mixing spoons to power drills and stretch their minds to solve brewing problems in all manner of weird and innovative ways.

The Cowabunga story began with another classic kiwi OE inspiring great things. In this case, head brewer, Stuart Nicol, was inspired by the incredible Austin craft beer scene. Over the past ten years Stu went from rookie to award winning brewer by researching and learning through trial and error.
